Returns & Exchanges Policy
At Tucson Electric Scooter Sales & Repair LLC (Tucson E-Scooters), we want you to feel confident about your purchase. Because electric scooters and e-bikes are specialty products, most manufacturers use a shorter return window because they are vehicles. We do our best to keep things fair, simple, and customer-friendly while protecting our small business.
🗓️ Return Window
You may return an item within 14 days of the purchase date.
- Returns are for in-store and online purchases
- A phone call or an emailed request for return does not guarantee a return; it must still be returned within the designated window.
- The item must meet the condition requirements listed below.
🔁 Exchange Window
Need a different model or color? Exchanges are available for up to 30 days from the date of purchase.
📦 Product Condition Requirements
To qualify for a return or exchange, the item must be:
- In like-new condition with no signs of misuse or neglect.
- Ridden less than 5 miles.
- Free from damage, scratches, cracks, water exposure, or non-factory modifications.
- Returned with all original packaging, manuals, accessories, and charger(s).
💵 Restocking Fee
Because we are a small business and returned vehicles can no longer be sold as brand new, a restocking fee of up to 30% may apply on returns.
- The exact fee depends on the condition of the product and packaging. IE, If it's used but in like-new condition, it may be closer to 5-10% depending on circumstances.
- Our goal is to meet you in the middle and keep fees as reasonable as possible.
🚫 Non-Returnable Items
For safety, hygiene, and quality control, the following items are not eligible for return:
- Scooters or e-bikes ridden over 5 miles.
- Any product showing damage, heavy wear, or water exposure.
- Final sale, clearance, or “as-is” items.
- Special orders or custom builds.
- Opened parts, accessories, or helmets.
- Batteries or Chargers (unless processed as an approved warranty claim).
🏬 In-Store Inspections (In-Store Only Policy)
All returns and exchanges must be brought to our Tucson store location for a condition evaluation. Our team will inspect the product and confirm whether it meets the policy requirements before approval.
We always do our best to be friendly and fair, but we must follow manufacturer and industry guidelines.
💳 Proof of Purchase & Refund Method
- A valid receipt is required for any return or exchange.
- Approved refunds are issued to the original form of payment.
- Cash refunds over $100 may be issued by check.
Important: Purchases made through Shop Now, Pay Later programs such as Acima Leasing must be returned directly to the financing provider. Their return, cancellation, and buyout terms may differ from our in-store policy. Please refer to Acima’s official return policy for instructions.
